The main objectives of the 1st International Conference on Rural Development are to obtain:
- The new strategies of rural development in responding to the issues of rural communities;
- The concept of innovation especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) in rural areas in an effort to enhance competitiveness nationally both nationally and globally.
The General Objectives of the 1st International Conference on Rural Development
The international conference is intended to share information on issues and challenges facing developing countries’ rural communities and, where possible, adopt best practice on alternative strategies and models. The international conference focuses on four major areas:
- To share information on issues and challenges facing developing countries’ rural communities and, where possible, adopt best practice on alternative strategies and models.
- To provide a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges faced by rural community and rural governance with the implementation of Village Law no 6/2014.
- To offer an insightful understanding on human development, local knowledge, technology innovation, governance innovation, rural economies, and rural autonomy.
- To serves as a vehicle for researchers and academics to present and discuss research results in the field to study Rural Economies, Local Knowledge, Rural Governance, Rural Development Planning, Social Empowerment.
The Output
The expected output of this international conference is
- To understand the potential economic and legal issues related to the change of rules/institutions in Indonesian rural development
- To obtain rural development strategy concepts related to increased competitiveness to grow sustainably
The Outcomes
The products of the international conference are prepared in the form of documented reports such as presentations, summaries of discussions and main conclusions and recommendations which can be utilized by policy-makers in carrying out rural development programs. In addition, the articles considered to have excellent academic contents will be published through accredited journals.
